A Taste of Italy has made environmental responsibility one of our top concerns, at the same time making our gift-giving services even more pleasurable. Now, 98% of our gift packages and food orders shipped are packed using Sealed Air's RapidFill® air-filled packaging cushions, the most efficient and environmentally conscientious solution for void fill. RapidFill® bags can be deflated and recycled commercially. You and your gift recipients will be thrilled more than ever with deliveries that are now cleaner and hassle-free, making our 'gifts of great taste' that much more appealling.

Policy

A Taste Of Italy knows the importance of timely delivery when it comes to gift giving. We've provided a UPS map below so you can estimate your gifts arrival time (weekends and Holidays are NOT considered days in transit). Please allow yourself some extra time during the busy Holiday Season. All orders are shipped from our shop in Central New Jersey. We are not able to ship outside the United States or Canada nor are we able to ship to Post Office Boxes. We can ship to APO/FPO addresses, but you must call us for that type of service.

Shipping Times

Under normal conditions, your order will be shipped the same business day if ordered by 2:00 PM EST. For orders received after Thursday 2:00 PM EST through Friday 2:00 PM EST, unless specified on the 'delivery instructions' box of the order form, we reserve the option to ship your gift selection on the following Monday, as their is no transit of packages over the weekend.

Perishables

Many of our gift selections contain table & grating cheeses. These great products do ship very well via UPS Ground Service during most of the year. However, during the warm summer months only, we suggest you limit your selections to items that do not contain many cheese or chocolate products. We will substitute items, at our discretion or your suggestion, to ensure your gift arrives in superb condition. You can trust us to always use products of equal or higher value in our substitutions with the utmost concern for quality.

Rates

All of our shipping rates are listed on the order form next to each gift selection. These rates are for UPS Ground Service throughout the contiguous 48 states. You must call us for any orders that are to be shipped via Express Air Delivery including next day and second day air shipping. These options are very expensive! Please keep in mind that A Taste Of Italy uses full sized products in it's gift selections, making them very large and bulky. Also, UPS - as does the rest of the carriers, charge for the 'dimensional weight' of the box. For instance, our "Tesori D' Oro" gift selection actually weighs 33 lbs. It is shipped in a 20 cubic inch box. Because of the size of the box, it's billable weight becomes 42 lbs. When shipping large boxes via Air delivery, it becomes extremely costly. Please order early enough to allow your gifts to arrive in a timely fashion via the UPS Ground Service, it's always the best value.

Saturday Delivery

This service is available from UPS for an additional fee. It can only be used when sending a package via Air shipping. You must call us for this type of service.

Specify Future Shipment Date

You can specify a future shipping date for a gift selection. Just give us your desired shipping date on our order form in the 'delivery instructions' box. We will not bill your credit card until 2 business days prior to shipping.
